Who runs this
Paweł Piwosz, a private individual based in Poland. estimate.events is a personal side project — no company, no team. I am the data controller under GDPR. Contact: contact@estimate.events.
What I store
- Email and a bcrypt hash of your password.
- Event data you enter into the estimator.

One session cookie (
est_session) to keep you logged in. - Your IP for rate limiting and short-lived server logs (up to 14 days).
No analytics, no third-party trackers, no telemetry. I don't sell, rent, or share your data with marketers.
Why
To run the service. Legal basis: contract performance (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Where it lives
UpCloud (Finland, EU). Data stays in the EEA. The city autocomplete sends your search string to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service.
How long
Until you delete your account. After deletion: 30 days for live data, 90 days for backups.
Your rights
Access, correct, delete, export, restrict, object. Email contact@estimate.events; I aim to respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Polish Data Protection Authority (UODO).
Cookies
One: est_session. Essential, HttpOnly,
SameSite=Strict.
Automated decisions
None. No profiling.
Children
Not for anyone under 16.
Changes
If anything material changes — including if I ever move from operating as a private individual to a registered business — the "Last updated" date will change and account holders will get an email.
